Control Menu

Mix Fader
Options for Mix Fader.

Mix Control...
Options for controlling Mix Fader externally.
This option is set per Console window.

Scene Control...
Options for controlling Scene Memory externally.
This option is set per Console window.
In any case, identifiers of corresponding controlling element are shown in a scene list.

Assign Control
Assigns external controllers to composition's unique parameters.

Range
For numerical parameter, controlled value range can be specified.
Whole length of a controller device can be corresponded to specific value range of a parameter.
(if range is not specified, whole value range of a parameter is used)
In case of OSC, if range is not specified, data value of OSC is used as is.
In contrast, if range is specified, OSC data value [0.0] corresponds to [L] of parameter value, and OSC [1.0] corresponds to [H] of parameter value.

Relation Between Parameter and Controller Type
If specified controller type does not meet a parameter naturally, implicit conversion takes place.

External Control and Scene Memory

Silent Insertion
If checked, when composition or image is newly added as layer, its mix fader is set to minimum.
Also, when a filter is newly added, it is bypassed.
This prevents new image appear immediately.
Some compositions and images may take long time to be prepared, they may influence running animation.

Use DMX Input...
Select a DMX device for input.

[Device:] specifies a serial number of the DoctorMX (USB/DMX interface box).
Pressing the [Use] button, the DMX input is used.
Check mark on the menu item indicates that DMX input is in use.
(there is possibility that DMX input cannot be used, because, for instance, other application already use it)
Pressing the [Don't Use] button, the DMX input is not used.

Use ArtNet Input...
Specify use of ArtNet input.
Input from ArtNet is used as if it were from DMX input.
(Mix Control, Scene Contorl, External Control, and so on)

[Sub-net] and [Universe] must be matched to sender.
Pressing the [Use] button, the ArtNet input is used (UDP port).
Check mark on the menu item indicates that ArtNet input is in use.
(there is possibility that the UDP port for ArtNet input cannot be used, because, for instance, other application already use it.
A specific UDP port number is defined for ArtNet input)
Pressing the [Don't Use] button, the ArtNet input is not used.

Use Sound Input...
Select a device for sound input.

Pressing the [Set] button, the sound input is used.
Check mark on the menu item indicates that sound input is in use.
(there is possibility that sound input cannot be used, because, for instance, other application already use it)
Pressing the [Don't Use] button, the sound input is not used.

Use OSC Input...
Specify a UDP port to receive OSC (Open Sound Control), which is used by all OSC functionalities of SynVisum in common.
For details about OSC, refer to specification.

Pressing the [Use] button, the OSC input is used.
Check mark on the menu item indicates that OSC input is in use.
(there is possibility that specified UDP port cannot be used, because, for instance, other application already use it)
Pressing the [Don't Use] button, the OSC input is not used.
Accept DMX equivalent at "/dmx"
Accept DMX equivalent OSC message from [ OSC ] function of DoctorMX.
This DMX data is equivalent to that from a interface box, and can be used for Mix Control, Scene Control and parameter control.
Sender must specify OSC address as "/dmx".
This is convenient when a interface box is used for DMX output of DoctorMX.

Use Operation Panel Server...
Opens Operation Panel Server settings.
Pressing the [Use] button, the Operation Panel Server is used.
Check mark on the menu item indicates that Operation Panel Server is in use.
(there is possibility that specified TCP port cannot be used)
Pressing the [Don't Use] button, the Operation Panel Server is not used.

MIDI Input...
Specifies MIDI input ports for external MIDI devices.
Working MIDI input is indicated as [Open].
MIDI Time Code can be fed into these input ports.

Although multiple MIDI input ports can be used simultaneously, they are not distinguished.
Only MIDI channel number can be used to distinguish messages.

SMPTE Input...
SMPTE Time Code can be fed into these input ports.

Dead Zone...
Specifies dead zone of DMX channel value.
Channel value less than or equal to this setting is treated as zero.
This ensures a fader at minimum position even if output data is unstable.
It is important for starting movie playback by Mix Fader and scene control by DMX (see above).
(This setting is also applied for DMX equivalent from OSC)

Send Scene Selector
Sends a scene selector as OSC message each time a scene is triggered.
It is always sent regardless how a scene is triggered (manually/timed/externally).

Specify target UDP port and OSC address.
First argument is integer type, and corresponds to scene order beginning from [ 0 ] .
This is convenient to start a cue of DoctorMX by scene memory of SynVisum.
